| This poster shows the Liberal Party as deeply divided and unfit to lead a country at war. Liberal imperialists, such as H.H. Asquith (the face on the leading horse) were opposed by 'little Englanders', like Lloyd George, who disliked imperial commitments and were condemned by their enemies as pro-Boer. |
