I must gratefully acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 5th instant No 1356-B and thank you for you recomending my case to the atention of the Board – urgent necesity compeled me to aply again to the relieving officer on the 10th instant when he [releved] me with A stone of Bread and 1/ [1s] after being destitute 10 days – I cannot supose that the law requires that A family shoud ^be^ all that time before it makes any provision for him – as soon as I can get get any regular imployment I shall be glad to do wethout any asitance asistance as I am not one that wishes to be burdonsome to others when I ^have^ The means of support in my own power – I send you this Information that you may know how the case stands – as I know not how the might [represent] the case to you – I can produce respectable evidence that I have [- – – -] nothing [- – – -] fact
