‘I have always been interested in the suffragette movement. This image of two independent women inspired me to bring this photo to life as a sculpture. The sculpture contains the message of freedom through the images of suffragettes displayed on the skirt. The combined images form into one woman and symbolise every woman’s sacrifice. I hope this sculpture helps others to remember the sacrifices they made and the continued relevance today.’
