‘The above photograph of Chief Luale of the African Village [theatre group], Figure Eight Park, Morecambe was taken whilst he was serving in the First Battalion (Duke of Cambridge Own) Middlesex Regiment know as the “Diehards”. He was on active service in France, Egypt and Salonika from 1914 to 1921.’
