The Magistrates unanimously
expressed their satisfaction with
the conduct of the Police, and
their approbation of the measures
which had been taken for
the defence of the County.
Mr. Godfrey the Chairman
of the Magistrates of the
Ipswich Division expressed a
desire that the Police might
remain in the county, and be
employed in the organization
of the Constabulary force of the
county, which was confessedly
extremely defective.
