HO45/18118, extracts from report on Juvenile Delinquency;
this source consists of five short extracts from a 23-page
enquiry in 1937 into the causes of "juvenile delinquency"
(crimes committed by young people). It was carried out by
London County Council Education Officer who was responsible
for all schools and services for young people in the city.
The extracts here deal with:
(i) unemployment, (ii) "multiple stores" (department
stores), (iii) cinema films, (iv) parental neglect (v) legacy
of wartime values.
