  SP 10/8, f.66; extract from letter, 1549. This is an extract from a draft of a letter from King Edward VI to JPs and Sheriffs in counties where there had been unrest, dated 1549.
  As you read these four sources, look for:
1. What seems to be the government attitude to these poor people?
2. What is the government doing to them?
In Source 1….What is the government of Edward VI worried about? (Remember there had been rebellions in Devon and Norfolk in 1549)
