SP 10/8, f.66; extract
from letter, 1549. This is an extract from a draft of a letter
from King Edward VI to JPs and Sheriffs in counties where there
had been unrest, dated 1549.
As you read these four sources,
look for:
1. What seems to be the government attitude to these poor people?
2. What is the government doing to them?
In Source 1 .What is the government of Edward VI worried
about? (Remember there had been rebellions in Devon and Norfolk
in 1549).
Put some of the examples you have
found from these Sources into your Gallery Worksheet.
