Notes
This design shows scenes in Kiev, each scene with its own title in Russian in Cyrillic script. The central scene is of St Michael's Cathedral, destroyed by the Soviet authorities in 1935. The panels around the rim show, from left to right, the 18th century Fire Station (an historical monument), the law courts, the church of St Nicholas and the University. The initials 'TP' either side of the royal arms mark/backstamp must refer to Trachtenberg & Panthes. For another Ukrainian scene design see design 185473.
