This design is similar to those of Dr Christopher Dresser but no firm attribution to this designer has been established. It is however rare for a designer to be mentioned in the design registers held at The National Archives. Much work has still to be done to distinguish between Dresser's personal work and that of anonymous designers trained by Dresser or inspired by his work.
