This artwork by Ngadi Smart was commissioned as part of our Windrush 75 commemorations, inspired by records including the iconic passenger list.

Spirit of Invention was a family exhibition open from 27 May to 29 October 2023, where you could become an inventor for the day. It will be on tour at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle from 16 March to 23 June 2024.

Fifty years after the first Pride March in the UK, we’re remembering and celebrating some of the LGBTQ+ lives in the archives through our ‘Pride Portraits’ project.
