How to make an initial enquiry and an expression of interest

How to make an initial enquiry

If you are an academic with an idea for a CDP, please contact us to see whether we could support your expression of interest.

You can either contact a specific member of staff if you already know them, or write to research@nationalarchives.gov.uk.

We strongly advise you to contact us as soon as possible, and no later than Monday 2 September 2019, because it will take time for us to consider your idea.

How to make an expression of interest

If you are interested in co-supervising a CDP with The National Archives, please read the expression of interest form guidance (0.10MB) and complete the expression of interest form (0.09MB).

To complete the form, you will need to be a member of academic staff at a Research Organisation directly supported by the UK research funding councils. You will also need input from a named member of staff at The National Archives, so do contact us as early as possible to find out if we can offer this.

Please return your form by Monday 16 September 2019 to research@nationalarchives.gov.uk.

The form is for potential supervisors, not for students. Students cannot apply for the scheme at this stage. Students who are interested in a CDP studentship and are seeking more information on the scheme should consult the AHRC-CDP consortium website.
