As we are not able to separate the 2018 – 2019 data, we have answered this question in relation to The National Archives’ total gas emissions in CO2e for the financial year 2021 – 2022 in comparison to the total gas emissions in CO2e for the financial year 2018 – 2019.
Our total gas emissions in CO2e have reduced by 30.34%.

The National Archives’ electricity and gas contracts are procured through a Cabinet Office crown commercial central government mandated contract RM1076 Energy. None of the energy used by The National Archives is generated from renewable energy sources. We do not use any “green” tariffs.
