Request
Please send me a copy of your internal review policy.
Outcome
No information held.
Response
I can confirm that The National Archives does not hold this information.
The National Archives does not have an internal review policy of its own regarding the procedure for reviewing FOI requests.
Internal review policy is instead covered in guidance issued by the Cabinet Office as part of the Section 45 Code of Practice. The issuing of this Code of Practice is a requirement under Section 45 of the Freedom of Information Act. Part 5 of this code specifically provides guidance to public authorities on the handling of internal reviews.
