Delegated legislation published on legislation.gov.uk

FOI request reference: CAS-66330-J3V6F2
Publication date: January 2021

Request
I would like to request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 the following statistical information about delegated legislation published on legislation.gov.uk:

1. The number of correction slips issued
2. The number of instruments issued under the ‘free issue’ procedure to correct defects in other instruments
3. The number of corrective reprints of instruments
4. The number of instruments removed from legislation.gov.uk due to being invalid (e.g. the Minister signed a different draft to that approved by Parliament, or a court found the instrument totally ultra vires, or any similar thing)
5. The number of unused SI numbers, i.e. ones issued to departments but then subsequently not published and/or gaps in the SI numbering sequence

I would request this on a year by year basis, going back as far as the cost limit allows or until the data no longer exists. In addition, I would prefer the statistics broken down by SI, SSI, and SR.

Outcome
Successful.
