This is an information request relating to the number of staff who are contractual home workers.
Please include the following information:
– The number of staff that currently work employed by the organisation that are contractual home workers
– The number of contractual home workers employed by the organisation in each of the last three financial years: 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22
(By ‘the department’ I mean the core department, and by ‘contractual home workers’ I mean employees who have it written into their contracts that their normal working arrangements are to work from home.)
If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

We are unable to provide you with this information because it is covered by the exemption at section 40(2) of the FOI Act. In this case the exemption applies because the requested number of contractual home workers is less than 5 individuals. Release of the exact figure could form part of a mosaic effect that would lead to the identification of the individuals concerned.
