Description:

Joined 5th Battalion during World War I, and was soon granted a commission in 1/6th Battalion. Served in India and Aden. Transferred to Gurkha Regiment, 1919. Also served with Burma Rifles. Rejoined 6th Battalion in the early 1920s and was particularly involved with the Richmond Detachment. Commanded 2/6th Battalion, 1939-1940. Later served as Area Secretary of the Metropolitan Area, British Legion. Died, 1949.
