Born in Basingstoke, c.1881. Enlisted in Kingston on Thames, Mar 1902. Served with 2nd Battalion in South Africa. Discharged, Aug 1902. Later served as a fireman, and was killed when he fell off a moving fire engine and hit his head on the side of the road, 1931.
