Catalogue description KINGS SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY COLLECTION

Comprises of the collections of the Shropshire Artillery Volunteers the Shropshire Royal Horse Artillery, 53rd (Shropshire) Regiment and the 85th (King's) Light Infantry, the Shropshire Militia and the KSLI itself, the Shropshire Rifle Volunteers and the Territorial Army units, the Shropshire Imperial Yeomanry and its ancestors in early Yeomanry formations. The collection (part held at SA) contains war diaries, rolls, photographs, maps, administrative files, notebooks and some objects (textiles). Objects and other files and photographic albums are held at the Regimental Museum (Castle).
