Wirral Archives Service holds some material relating to ferry undertakings.

The two local authority undertakings, both running services to Liverpool, inevitably had problems in common and, especially in the sixties, discussed joint arrangements which foreshadowed their merger within the MPTE. Records relating to these joint efforts which obviously precede those created when both services became part of the Wirral Division of the Passenger Transport Executive, have therefore been included here. M 388 MPT/11/6 contains Acts of Parliament and other legislation relating to both ferry under-takings and to the MPTE.
