Other Web Archive collections

Other collections can be found at the UK Web Archiving Consortium (UKWAC), who launched a pilot two-year project in June 2004 to investigate the issues of selection and the technical challenges involved in web archiving. Each consortium member selects and captures specific websites, with the permission of the website owners, using shared hardware and software tools. The British Library is now providing a web archiving service for the consortium using Web Curator Tool (WCT).

You can use the UKWAC site to find collections from the National Library of Scotland if you're looking for Scottish cultural content and sites relating to the Scottish Parliament.

Similarly, you can use UKWAC to find collections from the National Library of Wales if you're looking for Welsh cultural content and sites relating to the Welsh Assembly. The National Library of Wales also has information on its own web archiving programme.

And UKWAC also has collections from The British Library; the main UK institution capturing the nation's cultural heritage on the web.
