Atrocities in Munster

An account by William Saxby, Chief Justice of Munster, dated October 26 1598, describing Irish atrocities committed in the province. The graphic detail he used helped to fuel feelings in England against the 'savage Irish' and to maintain the traditional image of an uncivilized people.
