"Soviet Ski troops" by Roy Nockolds, 1942

An attack on a military convoy by Soviet Ski troops pulled along on their skis at high speed by mechanised sleds. In an otherwise subtly coloured image, the attacking explosion clearly stands out. The equipment the troops are using is extremely stylised and as far as their tactics are concerned the less said the better!
