It has been stated that L.A.C. Osborne was one of the bravest and one of the most useful airmen at Hal Far and I have no hesitation in concurring with this view. His actions and those of F/Lt. Dickinson and A/W/O. Bishop at all times stamped them as men outstanding amongst their fellows, unconscious of danger and devoted to the Service.
