This section contains publications and reports from The National Archives and guidance issued on behalf of the Head of the Government Knowledge and Information Management Function. Guidance in this area is for those in the Civil Service and wider public sector organisations, and will be updated on an ongoing basis.

The Government strategy, Information Matters (above) calls for a framework of common standards and processes for knowledge and information management in government. The first activity has been to draw together a list of standards and guidance relating to all aspects of knowledge and information management. It is not prescriptive - instead it brings together in one place links to a list of standards and guidance which may be applicable to your organisation.
