Isaac Rosenberg (1890 - 1918) is one of finest, if lesser known, of the First World War poets.

While some of Isaac's records were destroyed during the Second World War, remaining records provide an insight into his life. You can find out more about First World War service records - the 'burnt documents' - in The National Archives online exhibition The First World War.
