Importation of Danish Meat

The Cabinet discussed on 10 October 1946 ((C.M. 85(46)(6)) the importation of Danish meat into this country and the danger that it would expose herds in the UK to a greater risk of foot and mouth.  The Cabinet agreed that if the Danes took the same precautions as did the Argentine there was unlikely to be any increased risk and the importation of Danish meat into the UK should go ahead.
