04 January	50,000 files less than 50 years old have just been released. They include documents from the 1970s on "coloured" servicemen, escaped criminal John McVicar and Jim Callaghan's move into 10 Downing Street
02 January	Newly released older documents include files on Lady Churchill, the Compton Inquiry into alleged police brutality in Northern Ireland, Radclyffe Hall's book The Well of Loneliness and prisoner of war liberation questionnaires from World War Two
01 January	1974 records newly released include documents on Northern Ireland, Watergate and Giant Pandas at London Zoo.
