Sir Winston Churchill Memorial Statue in Parliament Square.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Edward Heath, John Tilney MP says that work is progressing on the statue to be erected in Parliament Square. Mr Tilney, who chairs the executive committee for the Lord Mayor of Westminster's Memorial Statue Appeal, encloses a report by the appeal organiser, Richard Craufort-Benson, and some photographs. This is an extract from the report and one of the photographs, showing a plaster cast of Churchill's head by Ivor Roberts-Jones at the sculptor's studio in Suffolk.
