How to apply

To apply for a grant you are required to complete our application form. Please see our guide for applicants

One hard copy and email copy of the completed application form should be sent to the following address or emailed:

One copy of any further supporting documentation, including the most recent annual report and accounts of the organisation, and details of its constitution, should also be sent.

An electronic copy of the full description of the project should also be emailed to nmct@nationalarchives.gov.ukEmail link or supplied on disk by post. Please submit applications as Microsoft Word files.

Please note:

  • The closing dates are dates by which applications must be received by the Trust
  • Processing of applications takes time and applications received after the closing dates cannot be considered until the next round of applications. Applicants are therefore advised to submit applications as early as possible.
  • In order to ensure funds are available throughout the year it may be necessary to defer applications to the next round even though they were submitted before the closing dates
  • Grants are not intended to be of a continuing nature, and further grants are not normally made for the same project. New projects from the same institution are eligible for consideration although previous grants are taken into account.
