District courts martial

Nominal roll of other ranks in the Overseas Military Forces of Canada and the Canadian Expeditionary Force who were tried by district courts martial, 1 March-30 June 1915.

District courts martial (DCM) were used to try men for minor offences and could not impose the death penalty. The roll shown here gives only basic details about the Canadian soldiers who were tried by DCM between March and June 1915: name, number, rank, unit and date of trial. It provides no information about either the reasons for the DCM or the verdict resulting from it.
