Although the 1832 Reform Act was given the prefix 'Great', it left
many radicals dissatisfied and there was renewed agitation for reform.
This 'address to the people of Lambeth' from the Lambeth Political
Union claims that the country is still run by a 'selfish, short-sighted,
and tyrannical aristocracy' and calls for universal adult male suffrage,
salaries for MPs, and equal electoral districts.
