A true and perfect particular or duplicate of all and
singular fires, hearths and stoves in new erected houses and alsoe
of smiths' hearths in the severall townes and parishes of Birmingham,
Erdington, Edgebarston, Bordesley, Castle Bromwich, Derriton End Little
Bromwich in the County of Warwick aforesaid; which particular or survey
was taken since the nine and twentieth day of September last past
And delivered into Court by Richard Phillips, gent[leman], deputy
agent and officer constituted and deputed by Anthony Rowe, Nathaniel
Johnson, Cornwall Bradshawe, Robert Holt and Thomas Durk Esquires
(amongst other things) to survey, veiw number and take account of
all fire hearths & stoves within the countyes of Bucks, North[amp]ton,
Bedford, Warwick, Oxon., Berkes and Wilts Att the Generall sessions
of the peace of our Soveraigne Lord the King holden att Warwick in
and for the county aforesaid upon Tuesday next after the ˆ Feast
of the Epiphany of our Lord (that is to say) the eighth day of January
in the five and thirtyeth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord
Charles the second by the Grace of God of England, Scotland, France
and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc And from thence adjourned
untill Tuesday the fifteenth day of the said Moneth of January and
from thence adjourned until Tuesday the two & twentieth day of
the aforesaid moneth of January; All which is allowed and signed by
his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the county aforesaid whose
names are hereto subscribed assembled att the Generall Sessions of
the Peace aforesaid; which said fires hearths have not as yett beene
returned into his Ma[jes]ties Court of Exchequer |
