Africans Protect the Fort at Gorée
| A number of Black soldiers were stationed at Gorée,
an island just south of the Cape Verde peninsula in modern Senegal,
to help provide protection for the Royal African Company fort there.
You can see them listed, along with White soldiers, on this muster
