for Nathan Simpson, Samuel Levy and four other
Jewish merchants to be made denizens of Great
Britain, April-May 1712.

A petition from Sir Edward Northey to Queen
Anne requesting denization for these Jewish merchants, four of
which are living in New York. The merchants all believed that
they would experience fewer problems with their trade if they
were 'free Denizons'.
