Searching by place name

The place name simple search allows you to search the Business, Organisations, Family & Estates and Diaries & Papers Indexes.

To search by town and/or county enter the name of a town/village in the Town field or choose a county from the drop down list in the County field and select the Search button.

For example, to find references to papers relating to Henley type Henley into the Town field. This should produce a list of results organised alphabetically, which includes references to Henley.

This search will not retrieve all the records relating to a place but only the archives of families, businesses and organisations based there, as well as diaries of residents and visitors who have commented on it in detail.
