Searching by family name

The family name simple search allows you to search the Families and Estates Index for references to the papers of families and estates listed in the indexes of the National Register of Archives.

To search for a family enter either the name, such as 'Noel', or the family title, such as 'Gainsborough', in the Name field and select the search button.

A more focused search can be made using the Advanced Search of the Family and Estates Index.
