Report on 'Meet the Chief Executive day' held on 8 November 2007
23 January 2008
On Thursday 8 November, we held a 'Meet the Chief Executive' day, giving you the chance to put forward your views or questions about the management and future direction of The National Archives.
Natalie Ceeney, Chief Executive said:
"I really enjoyed meeting a wide range of readers and improved my understanding of how our services are perceived and where they might be improved. This is the second year we've run a 'meet the CEO' event, and it's an event I'm keen to do every year!
"Most people I met were incredibly positive about The National Archives. Many told me "this is a fantastic institution", some, with international experience, said we were the "best archive in the world" and many said "the staff here are truly fantastic!". However there were also a number of issues raised and suggestions for changes. I have listed these below, together with our responses to them.
"I should like to thank all those readers who took the trouble to give me their views. If you have further queries or suggestions please contact me or the relevant staff direct."
