You can now benefit from a personalised search service on The National Archives website.

Register with us today to customise your search results, save your searches, add bookmarks to your favourite web pages and receive recommendations from our bookshop based on your search history.

Taking search a step further

For more than a year The National Archives' Global Search has enabled you to search across many of our most popular resources at once, including the Catalogue, DocumentsOnline and records research guides. The personalised search service takes search a step further by tailoring results around your interests. The search engine ´learns´ from your search history and uses this knowledge to refine your future searches.

Benefits of registration

You can sign in or register from any page on The National Archives website. Once signed in, you will be able to:
