Following the introduction of online access in the reading rooms, The National Archives is offering the following batch of redundant microfilms, free, on a first-come-first served basis:
PROB 11/459-2263 inc.
Prerogative Court of Canterbury and related Probate Jurisdictions: Will Registers, 1701-1858
This comprises approximately 1650 reels of used 35mm diazo negative image microfilm on 30 metre reels (not all reels will be full).
Only requests for the whole batch will be accepted. The National Archives is not seeking payment for these films.
The films are currently held at The National Archives site at Kew, and the successful requester must remove the films from Kew, at their own cost, by 28 July.
The films are offered on an 'as seen' basis, and no warranty or guarantee is offered as to their quality or completeness.
Any copyright restrictions on the films or their content will remain after disposal.
