New edition of The Genealogist's Internet now available
20 June 2012
Bloomsbury Publishing Plc has published a newly updated edition of Peter Christian's best-selling book The Genealogist's Internet, now available in The National Archives' bookshop.
This updated fifth edition explores the most useful online sources and, using step-by-step guides, helps both the beginner and the experienced genealogist navigate each one. It has updated URLs and information on all the recent developments in online genealogy including how to use specialist websites to publish your family tree online.
It also includes the impact of blogging, podcasting and social networking on family history research, allowing family historians to find others with similar research interests.
Audrey Collins, Family History Specialist at The National Archives, said: 'This book is one of the 'must-haves' for your genealogy bookshelf. Books about online genealogy are often little more than lists of resources, but Peter Christian provides the kind of informed comment that only an experienced genealogist can.'
