Archives Accreditation standard - first phase of co-creation ends
14 May 2012
The initial phase of co-creating the new standard for Archives Accreditation has now completed. Co-creation is the ongoing development of the accreditation standard by the archives sector and its users.
We would like to thank all those who have participated in the process by commenting in the online dialogue, workshops and webinars, either individually or as part of a group. With over 1,000 direct contributions from across the archives sector in a little over three months, this has been a new and exciting way for those involved in archives to contribute to defining the future of the sector.
In the next few weeks, the archives accreditation partners and contractors will draw together the outputs of the co-creation process into a draft standard, ready for piloting with a range of archives later in the year. The draft standard will be published online, and will be continuously reviewed during the pilot process, ensuring that current sector views and priorities inform its development.
The dialogue will remain accessible to review, though discussions have now been closed.
