Do you have a question about our records? Are you stuck with your research and need quick and easy advice on the next steps to take, but are unable to visit the archives? If so, our live chat service may be the answer.

We are piloting a new live chat service for our users to chat online to our records specialists and reader advisers. The service will be available for two hours a day, from our Records website. Just click on the 'live chat' button.

Sessions will take place this week at these times:

  • Wednesday: 15:00 - 17:00
  • Thursday: 13:00 - 15:00
  • Friday: 09:15 - 11:15

This is a pilot service and we welcome your feedback. At the end of each chat session will be the opportunity to rate the service and provide any comments you have. This will help us improve the service we provide.
