Microfilms available to successful applicants
Due to the increasing number of record series we are digitising, we no longer require many of the microfilms in our reading rooms. We are therefore offering the surplus microfilms, free of charge, via a lottery system.
The schedule below indicates which microfilms are on offer.

Requests for microfilmsIf you would like to request a batch of film, please apply by online form, by email or by letter by 17:00 on 14 February 2012. Only requests for whole batches will be accepted. The films will be allocated by lottery, using numbered balls, with a separate draw for each batch.
The films are offered on an 'as seen' basis with no warranty or guarantee offered as to their quality or completeness. They may not be used for digitisation, publication or any commercial re-use. Any copyright restrictions on the films or their content will remain.
We are not seeking payment for these films, but successful applicants must collect the films and meet all costs associated with removing the films from The National Archives in Kew. The films must be collected, by appointment, on one of the following days: 20 February, 27 February, 5 March, or 12 March 2012.
