New charges for birth, marriage and death certificates at the General Register Office
08 March
The General Register Office will be changing its fees for registration services in England and Wales, from 6 April 2010. This includes new charges for people ordering birth, death and marriage certificates.
The General Register Office keeps all certificates of births, marriages and deaths in England and Wales since 1837. Birth, marriage and death certificates cannot be viewed or ordered at The National Archives.
Further information on the changes can be found on the General Register Office's website.
