Nelson’s will

Nelson first had his will drawn up on 10 May 1803. From this date, Nelson became increasingly anxious about his own personal finances and concerns about providing financially for Emma Hamilton and his daughter after his death. This resulted in him adding a further eight codicils to the will. Codicil number seven relates to a rather odd bequest by Nelson of hay to Emma.
