Translation

Delivery of quarrels:

Thereupon the same Ralph counts in the delivery made for the garrison of the castle of Cruk and of Hardel 8 barrels full of quarrels. Also, for the garrison of the castle of Caernarvon two barrels full of quarrels. Also, for the garrison of the castle of Conewey one barrel and 8 baskets full of quarrels. Also, to master Richard de Abindon at Bangor and Lammas 58 barrels full of quarrels, 2,500 quarrels out of the barrels. Also, to divers crossbowmen from England and Gascony, being in the king’s garrison, 25,000 quarrels. Also, to the said master Richard de Abindon one chest and one sack full of quarrels and two barrels full of heads of quarrels and thus the delivery of quarrels answers equally to the receipt of the same. Approved.

Receipt of arrows and the delivery of the same:

Also, the same Ralph received from the said lord William de Perton on two occasions 621 sheaves of arrows. The sum is clear. Also, he received 12 sheaves of fletches. Thereupon the same Ralph counts in the delivery made for the garrison of the castle of Caernarvan 25 sheaves of arrows. Also, to master Richard de Abindon 250 sheaves of arrows and 12 sheaves of fletches. Also, the same Ralph counts in the delivery made to divers archers, being in the garrison of the lord king 346 sheaves and thus [it answers] equally. Approved.

Receipt of shields and the delivery of the same:

Also, the same Ralph received at Lammas 120 shields. Also, at Bangor 80 shields. Sum of the receipt of shields 200. Thereupon the same Ralph counts in the delivery made at Caernarvan 40 shields. Also, at Conewey for the garrison of the castle of the same place 24 shields. Also, to master Richard de Abindon at Bangor and Lamdinas 136 shields. Sum of the delivery of shields 200 and thus [it answers] equally. Approved.

Receipt of lances and of the heads of the same and the delivery:

Also, the same Ralph received at Bangor 140 lances without iron, and 120 heads of lances. The sum is clear. Thereupon the same Ralph counts in the delivery made to divers persons in the king’s army for the restoration of their lances, broken in the king’s service, 77 lances and 10 heads of lances. Also, at the castle of Cruk and of Hardel 40 lances. Also, Caernarvan 11 lances. Also, at Abberconeweye 12 lances. Also, to master Richard de Abindon 90 heads of lances and 20 smaller heads. Sum approved. Sum of the delivery of lances 140 and thus [it answers] equally. The sum of the delivery of heads of lances 120 and thus [it answers] equally. Approved.

Receipt of sacks and cloth for sacks and the delivery (they are used in the king’s service):

Also, the same Ralph received from John de Maidenstan de Aula 60 old sacks, and they are to be used in the king’s service. Also, from lord William de Perton 19 new sacks and one old one, and they are used in the service of the said king. Also, from the said lord William de Perton 142 ells of cloth for sacks. Thereupon the same Ralph counts in the delivery made by Richard de Abindon 70 ells. Also, by John de Bokeland 12 ells. Also, in 70 sacks made and sent across with grain at Cruk and Hardel 60 ells.
