Appraisal course
We offer a one-day appraisal course for staff from government departments and public record bodies which transfer records to The National Archives. This course is not suitable for any other organisations or members of the public.
Appraisal training
This one-day course is for staff responsible for the appraisal and selection (review) of paper and digital records for preservation at The National Archives. The course covers both electronic and paper records appraisal.

This training is a mixture of short presentations, practical exercises and opportunities for group discussion.

Courses are free of charge. Tea and coffee will be provided, but not lunch. Attendees are welcome to use The National Archives' restaurant.
