Get involved
There are a number of ways to become more actively involved in The National Archives, from contributing your images and your knowledge of the records, to volunteering.
Friends of The National Archives
The Friends of The National Archives care about the future of the nation's records. Join us and play a part in safeguarding our documentary heritage.

• Opportunities to volunteer on interesting projects to make the records more accessible
Take part in our online survey
We are looking at ways to expand the Friends of The National Archives and would welcome feedback from people who are not currently members. Friends is an independent charity which supports the work of The National Archives through voluntary work and providing grants for records related projects.
The online survey will take approximately ten minutes to complete and the information you give will be kept strictly confidential.
