Related information

The Air Force List can be helpful in tracing the career of individual officers.

It may be worthwhile to check whether the officer was awarded any gallantry medals.

There are no campaign medal rolls in The National Archives for men who joined after the formation of the RAF in April 1918, although they did receive the relevant medals. See Chapter 10 of William Spencer's Air Force Records for Family Historians.
