These are to certify all whom it doth concerne That whereas Richard Tiler of Northnewton in the County of Oxon Shoomaker sonn of John Tiler of Northnewton aforesaid And Anne Lamb of Northnewton aforesaid spinster daughter of Mary Lamb of Northnewton aforesd widow Have with the Consents of their Parents & nearest relations sevrall times declared their Intentions of taking each other in Marriage att the mens & womens meetings of the people of God called Quakers in the sd County of Oxon and upon serious Consideration had & due inquiery made they being both founde theare in that respect and relacon from all others had the full consent & approbaon of the sd Meetings and for the Compleate solemnising of the sd Marriage on the foure and twentieth day of the inst Moth called November In the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Six hundred Ninety and foure in a publique assembly of the people of God called Quakers and others at Banbury in the sd County of Oxon the sd Richard Tiler taking hee the sd Anne Lamb by the hand did solemnly & expressly declare that he did take her the said Anne Lamb to be his wife And in like manner that the said Anne Lamb holding him the said Richd Tiler by the hand did solemnly & expressly declare that she did take him the sd Richard Tiler to be her husband and each of them did solemnly promise to be loveing & faithfull to each other in relation of husband and wife untill it shuld please the Lord to separate them by death And as a Confirmacon thereof the said Richard Tiler and Anne Lamb unto this writing did then and there sett their hands Richard Tiler Anne Tiler And we whose Names are here under written being then psent att the solemnising of the sd Marriage have hereunto sett our hands as wittnesses to the same.
